I happened to be in this pharmacy for a medical appointment with Dr. Habashi, who has his clinic within this pharmacy. The doctor wrote me a prescription, so I thought I might as well fill it here. The pharmacist was super helpful and quickly filled my prescription. We were chatting a bit and I admitted that I normally get the family prescriptions filled at Costco due to the lower dispensing fees, which my benefits don’t cover. The pharmacist verified this when processing my coverage. He lowered his dispensing fee significantly. This was totally not necessary as he knew I was from out of town and would not likely fill other prescriptions there. I must admit I wish I could, as I feel I am just supporting the insurance companies and their push to get everyone to go to the big chains. I would like to suggest that others consider going to this pharmacy for their prescription needs. You can do some of your grocery shopping next door at Farm Boy, who is unfortunately now owned by Sobey’s parent, but you can pretend it is still a family owned company. Maybe once in a while skip the big box stores.
